Cobb County Police Captain Arrested for DUI

A Cobb County Police captain was arrested Saturday for DUI after a wrong-way driver was traveling north in the southbound lane and struck a car driven by the officer.  The wrong-way driver, who did not have ID, was taken to Grady Hospital.  He will be facing charges from the crash.  The Cobb County officer was arrested also and was taken to the Douglas County Jail and was released on a $1000 bond. 

Cobb Police have initiated an internal investigation.  The officer has been reassigned from precinct captain to administrative duty.
